Cela s\u2019explique en partie par le fait que ton sommeil est tr\u00e8s sensible aux changements internes du corps. Or, au fil du cycle menstruel, il se passe bien plus de choses que ce dont nous avons conscience au quotidien.<\/p>\n<p>Deux hormones jouent un r\u00f4le central: l\u2019\u0153strog\u00e8ne et la progest\u00e9rone. Elles ne r\u00e9gulent pas uniquement le cycle, elles agissent aussi sur le cerveau et influencent ainsi le sommeil. La progest\u00e9rone a plut\u00f4t un effet apaisant et favorise la d\u00e9tente en soir\u00e9e. L\u2019\u0153strog\u00e8ne, lui, agit sur des messagers chimiques comme la s\u00e9rotonine et la m\u00e9latonine, qui r\u00e9gulent le rythme veille-sommeil.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 mesure que ces hormones fluctuent au cours du mois, la qualit\u00e9 du sommeil peut elle aussi varier. La temp\u00e9rature corporelle change, tout comme la fa\u00e7on dont le corps r\u00e9agit au stress, et le sommeil peut \u00eatre sensible \u00e0 ces variations.<\/p>\n<p>Durant la phase folliculaire, beaucoup de personnes d\u00e9crivent un sommeil plus stable. Pendant la phase lut\u00e9ale, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire apr\u00e8s l\u2019ovulation, certaines rapportent des nuits plus agit\u00e9es ou un besoin accru de repos.<\/p>\n<p>Ces diff\u00e9rences ont une base biologique et s\u2019observent chez de nombreuses personnes ayant un cycle. Au fil des semaines, certains sch\u00e9mas se r\u00e9p\u00e8tent. Parfois, tu t\u2019endors rapidement et te r\u00e9veilles repos\u00e9e; parfois, l\u2019endormissement prend plus de temps ou la nuit semble plus fragment\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019objectif n\u2019est pas de contr\u00f4ler ton sommeil, mais simplement de l\u2019observer avec attention. Avec le temps, tu commenceras \u00e0 rep\u00e9rer des liens et beaucoup de choses deviendront plus claires.<\/p>\n<p>Ton cycle se compose de quatre phases, qui peuvent chacune influencer diff\u00e9remment ton corps\u2026 et donc aussi ton sommeil:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Menstruation<\/strong><br \/>\nLes taux hormonaux sont globalement bas. Tu peux te sentir plus fatigu\u00e9e ou ressentir un besoin accru de repos. D\u2019\u00e9ventuelles douleurs peuvent \u00e9galement perturber le sommeil.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Phase folliculaire<\/strong><br \/>\nApr\u00e8s les menstruations, le taux d\u2019\u0153strog\u00e8ne augmente progressivement. Beaucoup vivent cette p\u00e9riode comme plus stable, avec davantage d\u2019\u00e9nergie pendant la journ\u00e9e et souvent un sommeil plus r\u00e9gulier.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ovulation<\/strong><br \/>\nAutour de l\u2019ovulation, l\u2019\u0153strog\u00e8ne atteint son pic. Certaines personnes se sentent particuli\u00e8rement dynamiques, voire plus \u00e9veill\u00e9es que d\u2019habitude.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Phase lut\u00e9ale<\/strong><br \/>\nApr\u00e8s l\u2019ovulation, la progest\u00e9rone domine et la temp\u00e9rature corporelle augmente l\u00e9g\u00e8rement. Durant cette phase, surtout dans les jours qui pr\u00e9c\u00e8dent les menstruations, beaucoup d\u00e9crivent un sommeil plus l\u00e9ger ou plus sensible.<\/p>\n<p>Lorsque tu r\u00e9alises que ton sommeil suit ce rythme, la compr\u00e9hension remplace peu \u00e0 peu l\u2019incertitude. Tu commences \u00e0 percevoir des sch\u00e9mas plut\u00f4t que de juger chaque nuit isol\u00e9ment. Mieux conna\u00eetre ton cycle t\u2019aide \u00e0 situer ce que vit ton corps et \u00e0 rel\u00e2cher la pression de devoir dormir de mani\u00e8re identique, ou \u00abparfaite\u00bb, chaque nuit. L\u2019endormissement concerne la capacit\u00e9 de ton corps et de ton esprit \u00e0 se rel\u00e2cher le soir. Le rythme cardiaque et la respiration ralentissent, la tension musculaire diminue, ton organisme passe progressivement en mode repos.<\/p>\n<p>Rester endormie signifie que le sommeil se maintient de fa\u00e7on stable pendant plusieurs heures. Ton corps encha\u00eene diff\u00e9rents cycles de sommeil sans p\u00e9riodes d\u2019\u00e9veil prolong\u00e9es ni sorties conscientes du sommeil. De brefs micro-r\u00e9veils sont d\u2019ailleurs tout \u00e0 fait normaux.<\/p>\n<p>Au fil du cycle, ces deux aspects peuvent \u00e9voluer diff\u00e9remment. Dans les jours qui pr\u00e9c\u00e8dent les menstruations, beaucoup de personnes constatent qu\u2019elles mettent plus de temps \u00e0 s\u2019endormir ou qu\u2019elles se r\u00e9veillent au cours de la nuit, souvent entre deux et quatre heures du matin, avec plus de difficult\u00e9 \u00e0 se rendormir.<\/p>\n<p>Ces variations sont li\u00e9es \u00e0 la phase lut\u00e9ale, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire la p\u00e9riode qui suit l\u2019ovulation. M\u00eame si la progest\u00e9rone a d\u2019abord un effet apaisant, son taux chute nettement juste avant les r\u00e8gles. Parall\u00e8lement, le syst\u00e8me nerveux devient plus sensible: les bruits, la lumi\u00e8re ou les variations de temp\u00e9rature peuvent \u00eatre per\u00e7us plus intens\u00e9ment. En temps normal, la temp\u00e9rature corporelle centrale baisse l\u00e9g\u00e8rement, ce qui facilite la transition vers le sommeil.<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s l\u2019ovulation, cette temp\u00e9rature augmente d\u2019environ 0,3 \u00e0 0,5 \u00b0C, et reste plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e jusqu\u2019aux menstruations. M\u00eame si cette variation semble minime, elle peut avoir un effet perceptible. Lorsque la temp\u00e9rature de base est plus haute, le corps met davantage de temps \u00e0 dissiper suffisamment de chaleur. R\u00e9sultat: l\u2019endormissement peut \u00eatre retard\u00e9 et le sommeil para\u00eetre plus l\u00e9ger.<\/p>\n<p>De faibles variations de temp\u00e9rature suffisent d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e0 influencer la qualit\u00e9 du sommeil. Tant que tu te sens globalement repos\u00e9e et que tu arrives \u00e0 g\u00e9rer ton quotidien, ces variations restent dans une zone physiologique normale.<\/p>\n<p>Il peut toutefois \u00eatre utile d\u2019y pr\u00eater davantage attention si la qualit\u00e9 de ton sommeil se d\u00e9grade nettement sur plusieurs cycles. Si tu restes r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement \u00e9veill\u00e9e pendant de longues p\u00e9riodes la nuit ou si une fatigue importante en journ\u00e9e impacte ton quotidien, cela m\u00e9rite d\u2019\u00eatre examin\u00e9 plus en d\u00e9tail.
